Hi there. In this video, we'll have a look at diagnosing a new video via VG A issue on a VX rail system. On most VX rail models, the VG A port is found at the front of the unit. These systems also have a VG A port on the back of the system. Both allow the user to connect a monitor to observe the VX rail functions.
If a connected monitor is showing the self test box, it shows that it's not receiving a signal, check the VG A cable, it's connected securely at both sides and swap with a working one if possible to rule the monitor out as being the issue connected to a known good working machine.
If this works, then we have ruled out the monitor and cable as being the issue, check both the front and then the back VG A ports of the VX rail to see if one is giving the signal. If the fault lies with a port, then feel free to raise a support request with us via one of our support channels. If A KVM is in use, the resolution may need to be set to automatic and that's it.
