iDRAC Service Module (iSM) is a lightweight software service that better integrates operating system (OS) features with iDRAC and can be installed on Dell yx2x or later generation of PowerEdge servers. iSM provides OS-related information to the iDRAC and adds capabilities such as LC log event replication into the OS log, WMI support (including storage), iDRAC SNMP alerts via OS, iDRAC hard reset and remote full Power Cycle. iSM automates SupportAssist report collection process for iDRAC leading to faster issue resolution. iSM has very little impact on the host processor and smaller memory footprint than "in-band" agents such as Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA), thus expanding iDRAC management into supported host operating systems.

Fixes & Enhancements
Fixes: -Removal of warning alerts for Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) provider in the Windows Event Viewer Application Logs. -When both iDRAC Service Module (iSM) and OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) services are running on the host operating system; the iSM communication with iDRAC might stop and start every 5 hours 30 minutes automatically. -When iSM is installed and if "OS information" feature is enabled, then IPv6 Default Gateway address and DNS server fields are not rendered in the iDRAC interfaces.
Enhancements: -TLS 1.3 support - iSM is now capable of communicating with iDRAC over TLS 1.3 protocol. -Isolation of OS-BMC-Passthrough Independent feature - iSM Limited Functionality mode support when iSM communication with iDRAC is not established. -Software RAID enumeration - iSM enables enumeration of Software RAID PERC S130 and later series of controllers. -Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) log collection as part of SupportAssist collection(SAC).
