Symptome

Error message on user interface

 

Impacted versions:
SCG - v5.16 and below
OpenManage Enterprise (OME) Services plug-in - v3.0.x and below.

 

Initial investigation:

  1. Verify the application version.
  2. Engage the Dell support by submitting a ticket to verify if the collections were uploaded successfully and available for Dell agents to review.

 

Review logs:
You see failures in the logs as given below:

ERROR com.dell.scg.gateway.handler.response.ResponseHandler- 172 - Error in Backend communication

Ursache

This issue is specific to SCG 5.16 and earlier versions as well as the OpenManage Enterprise (OME) Services plug-in 3.0.x and earlier versions. It stems from an API call failure, leading to an incorrect display of file upload status on the UI.

 

Lösung

For SCG, upgrade to the latest version.
For OpenManage Enterprise (OME) Services plug-in, migrate to the latest version of OpenManage Enterprise and OpenManage Enterprise Services Plugin.
The issue is not seen in the latest version of either product.
