Symptoms

Los respaldos de VM realizados a través del dispositivo vProxy de NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) fallan con lo siguiente:

Cause

vProxy intenta deshabilitar la migración de VM (Storage vMotion) antes del respaldo. Sin embargo, vCenter Server ya se configuró con una opción para deshabilitar la reubicación de VM. El usuario o una aplicación pueden configurar esta opción como un respaldo anterior mediante NVP. Si NVP configura esto, la marca se debe borrar al final del respaldo; sin embargo, una finalización incorrecta del respaldo puede hacer que este procedimiento de limpieza falle.

Resolution

Pasos para verificar el problema:

  1. Inicie sesión en vProxy como administrador y, a continuación, cambie a root: sudo su - root
  2. Cambiar al directorio bin  
    cd  /opt/emc/vproxy/bin
  3. Ejecute el siguiente comando para cargar la ruta de la biblioteca: 
    source ../unit/vproxy.env
  4. Compruebe si la migración está deshabilitada con la herramienta "vmconfig":  
    ./vmconfig -c info -k "vm-MOREF" -l moref -p Password-for-vCenter -u username-for-vCenter -v vcentername

NOTA: Para obtener la "vm-MOREF", vaya a NMC, haga clic en "show message" (mostrar mensaje) y "Get Full log" (Obtener registro completo), aquí verá el MOREf similar a "vm-1311". Para obtener más ayuda, escriba './vmconfig'

Si la opción Migration Enabled es "false", continúe con la siguiente solución alternativa. Si la migración habilitada es "verdadera", es posible que se necesite un diagnóstico más a fondo. En este caso, no es necesario aplicar una solución alternativa.


Solución alternativa:

Ejecute la herramienta vmconfig con "enable-migration" para habilitar manualmente la migración 
./vmconfig -c "enable-migration" -k "vm-MOREf" -l moref -p **** -u username -v vcentername
Ejemplo: 
./vmconfig -c "enable-migration" -k vm-94 -l moref -p *** -u administrator@vsphere.local -v 10.1.2.3

Additional Information

NVP vProxy: Los respaldos fallan intermitentemente con el mensaje "VDDK Error: 18000: Cannot connect to the host" (No se puede conectar al host)
