Symptoms
- Unable to configure replication, no Data Domain shows under the GUI even though replication Data Domain has been added.
- "Replication Encryption" is enabled within PowerProtect Data Manager storage settings.
- The status of the storage replication encryption is set to "Off-Mismatch" after "Replication Encryption" is enabled.

Cause
In order for PowerProtect Data Manager Replication Encryption to work, File Replication DD Encryption must be enabled on Data Domain also.
Please note: By default, new 19.14 and above deployments of PPDM have Encryption enabled.
This is documented in the below as of 19.14, but easily missed, especially if user has deployed many PPDMs in the past.

Resolution
If encryption should not be enabled at this time, disable it in PPDM:
- In the PPDM GUI go to System Settings->Security
- Turn off both of the below options:
If encryption should be enabled, to enable it on DD follow these steps:
- Launch PowerProtect DD System Manager.
- Expand Protocols, select DD Boost, and ensure you are on the Settings tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom and expand Advanced Options. Check to see if File Replication DD Encryption is Disabled.
- If Disabled, scroll to the top of the window and select More Tasks dropdown and select Set Options.
- Check the option for File Replication DD Encryption and select OK.
- In Advanced Options, confirm that File Replication DD Encryption is Enabled.
- Open PowerProtect Data Manager, and expand Infrastructure\Storage. Under Protection Storage tab, select your DD storage and select the Discover button.
- Once discovery is complete, the Replication Encryption should show as enabled.
