Symptoms

При модернизации PowerProtect Data Manager с версии 19.14 до 19.15 после модернизации базовых сервисов следующим шагом является модернизация модулей защиты VM Direct. 

Задача, отвечающее за модернизацию VM Direct Protection Engine, может завершается сбоем со следующими сообщениями об ошибках: 
Failed to complete the software update.
UPG0037 -
VM Direct Protection Engines update failed, Unable to update protection engine 'HostName/IPAddress' - AutoUpgrade request unsuccessful. Unable to AutoUpgrade vProxy. Unable to deploy vProxy HostName/IPAddress. Unable to deploy VM. Unable to delete the vProxy 'Hostname/IPAddress' from the vCenter server. Found VM with Moref 'VirtualMachine:MorefNumber' but it is not managed by our component. This can be due to a misconfiguration. VM found to have no ExtensionKey, but expected 'com.emc.vproxy.visd'.
Remediation: Contact Dell Customer Support.
 

Cause

Это происходит, когда в какой-то момент виртуальная машина отменяла регистрацию в VMware vCenter, а затем снова регистрируется. В результате ключ расширения, назначенный виртуальной машине, больше не применяется.

Resolution

Чтобы устранить эту проблему, удалите виртуальную машину (VM Direct Protection Engine) из VMware vCenter и выполните повторное развертывание с помощью пользовательского интерфейса PowerProtect Data Manager.

После повторного развертывания VM Direct Protection Engine перезапустите процесс модернизации PowerProtect Data Manager.
