Summary: Incorrect RC for the QUERY command

This article applies to This article does not apply to This article is not tied to any specific product. Not all product versions are identified in this article.

Symptoms

The QUERY TGT,STATUS,DEVICE command returns RC=0 when one of the PowerMax systems in TGT is offline.

The QUERY VDG command returns RC=0 when the VDG contains devices that have been deleted from the PowerMax system.

zDP Definition Utility has been updated to set final return code based on the MAX_RC and the warning/error message severity.

If a device does not exist on a PowerMax system, the device entry in the QUERY output is marked with a '*'.
A new message will also be issued:
EIP0287W/E VDG <vdg_name>, SYMM <gk/symm-serial>, some devices were not found on the controller

Cause

This is due to a software issue.
