Computers Are Unable to Connect Using Active Management Technology or Intel Standard Manageability after Upgrading the BIOS
Summary: Information about not being able to connect with Active Management Technology (AMT) or Intel Standard Manageability (ISM) when a computer's Intel Management Engine (ME) is updated to firmware version 16.1.25.1991 or later. ...
Symptoms
Computers will be unable to connect using AMT or ISM with non-Transport Layer Security (TLS) network communication after upgrading the computer BIOS with ME firmware version 16.1.25.1991 or later.

- Precision:
Precision 7770, Precision 7670, Precision 5770, Precision 5570, Precision 5470, Precision 3660, Precision 3571, Precision 3570, Precision 3470, Precision 3460 SFF.
- XPS:
XPS 17 9720, XPS 15 9520, XPS 13 9320, XPS 13 9315
Impacted CPU:
- Intel Core 12th Gen CPU (Alder Lake)
Cause
Non-TLS network communications may be less secure than TLS network communications because non-TLS communications are not encrypted, while TLS network communications are encrypted.
Resolution
Non-TLS Network Communication
Computers that ship with the Intel Core 12th Generation CPUs and Intel Xeon W-3400/W-2400, AMT/ISM no longer support non-TLS network communication.
This is an expected behavior, Intel removed the option to choose non-TLS network communications to help Users provide more secure solutions to Customers.
