Setting CIFS Log Level to 3

SUMMARY

Increasing the CIFS log level of the system will help capture additional information to help trouble-shoot the issue.

APPLIES TO

  • All Datadomain systems (excluding DD200)

  • 4.1.5.0 and above
  • CIFS

INSTRUCTION

  1. Access the Restorer using telnet, SSH, or serial direct connect.

    At the command prompt, type:
    cifs option set loglevel 3
    
  2. Upload logs to the support server.
    support upload bundle
    
  3. Reset the log level.
    cifs option reset loglevel
    
  4. If you have been working with a support engineer and have a case created, please inform the support engineer that you have uploaded logs.
