Solution

To fix the issue, please follow the instructions in this section, which correspond to the particular error shown during configuration.

Error 1 - This Error is observered if the IPMI Service is not running on remote host. It can be resolved by following the instructions below:

  • Run PowerShell Command to check if the IMPI Service is running or not, try to start service.

  • If the Service fails to start, please check the status of the IPMI Driver in the Device Manager System Devices:

  • To fix Driver issue download latest chipset driver available in support.dell.com.
  • Insall Chipset drivers and reboot Host.
  • After Host reboot is completed, In Windows Admin Center Console Select the Host and click on "Manage As".
  • Provide credentials of Server Administrator or Cluster Administrator accounts.
  • Click on "Continue".
  • Select Host and Click on "Connect" to open Server Overview.
  • Check Host Status from the DELL EMC OperManage Integration.


Error 2 - This is observed if the Execution policy is not set to "Remote Signed". It can be resolved by following the instructions below:

  • Select Host and Click on "Connect" to open Server Overview.

Error 3 - This is observed while providing "DELL EMC System Update Location" and "Inventory Collection location" Path in Update Tools and performing a "Test Connection". It can be resolved by following the instructions below:

  • To fix Error provide Complete path including File name of Dell System Update script.
