The Linux Kernel within Dell EMC Dell EMC Disk Library for mainframe models DLm8100 and DLm2100 require a security update to address various vulnerabilities. 

Linux Kernel is updated for the following vulnerabilities:    

  • SuSE SLES 11.x Linux kernel

CVE-2019-11477
CVE-2019-11478
CVE-2019-11479

Remediation:     
The following Dell EMC Disk Library for mainframe releases contains a resolution to this vulnerability:   

  • Dell EMC Disk Library for mainframe Security Update 4.5-4.4

Installation of this update requires a minimum DLm code level of 4.5.4

Dell EMC recommends all customers upgrade at the earliest opportunity. Contact Dell EMC Disk Library for mainframe customer support to download the required dlm-security file and install it.
