Symptoms
Enterprise Hybrid Cloud (EHC): vROPS reports low disk space for DB file system.
To check the space, run the following command:
Usually, the sub folder cassandra/data/rollup/vpostgres uses up most of the space.
vROPS = Version 7.5.0 but it may apply for other versions.
"File system /storage/db is low on storage space"
To check the space, run the following command:
hostname:~ # df -H
/dev/mapper/data-db 1.4T 1.2T 130G 91% /storage/db
Usually, the sub folder cassandra/data/rollup/vpostgres uses up most of the space.
vROPS = Version 7.5.0 but it may apply for other versions.
Cause
vROPS database has grown over time and is using all the disk space.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, it is recommended to increase the disk space for this file system to avoid causing corruption to the database.
Workaround:
There is a database vacuum process to cleanup the db space, although it is highly recommended to increase the disk space instead.
