  • Phillips #0 screwdriver

Note: Be aware that using a large Phillips or Flat Head screwdriver may result in damage to the head of the screws. This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools, that are not available to our onsite engineers.

 

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Side Cover:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

  2. Slide the release latch to unlock the side cover.

  3. Slide the side cover towards the back of the system.

  4. Lift the side cover from the system.

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    4. Remove the Side Cover.

  2. Pry the retention tabs to release the front bezel from the system.

  1. Pull one side of the hard-disk drive bracket to disengage the pins on the bracket from the slots on the drive.

  2. Slide the hard-disk drive out of the bracket.

  3. Hard-disk drive bracket for the 2.5 in. hard-disk drive.

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    4. Remove the Side Cover and the Front Bezel.

  2. Remove the hard-disk drive power cable and the SATA cable through the recess in the release latch.

    4. Remove the Side Cover, Front Bezel and the Hard-Drive Assembly.

  3. Slide and lift the solid-state drive off the system board.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    4. Remove the Side Cover.

  2. Pull the metal tab to open the expansion card latch.

  3. Pull the release tab at the base of the expansion card.

  4. Lift the expansion card away from the connector on the system board.
