Instructions

Note: This is disruptive to the server and the server should be in maintenance mode in vCenter.

1. Login to UCS and navigate to the affected server.

2. In the Actions pane, click Server Maintenance, Decommission. Click Ok, then Yes.

3. The server will now be decommissioned and shutdown. 

4. The server will show in UCS with a red box and show Needs Resolution when it is decommissioned.

5. To re-acknowledge the server click Re-acknowledge Slot. This will trigger a discovery of the server components.

6. Monitor the discovery on the FSM tab. Discovery can take some time minutes depending on the server size and number of components.
