Connectrix MDS 업그레이드 시 "Pre-upgrade check failed "Return code -1" 메시지가 반환됨

Symptoms

"install all" 명령을 실행하려고 하면 스위치가 "Pre-upgrade check failed. "Return code -1"이라는 메시지를 반환합니다.

어떤 문제가 있는지 알 수 없습니다. 펌웨어 파일의 md5sum은 양호합니다. bootflash와 대기 수퍼바이저에도 충분한 공간이 있지만 "install all" 명령은 "Return code -1"과 함께 실패합니다.

Cause

이 상태에서는 다음 명령을 실행할 경우 
"show incompatibility-all system bootflash:m9700-sf2ek9-xxxx.bin"

 잘 실행됩니다.

명령 
 "show install all impact kickstart bootflash:m9700-sf2ek9-kickstart-mz.xxxx.bin system bootflash:m9700-sf2ek9-mz.xxxx.bin" fails with "Return code -1."

이는 "install all" 명령과 동일한 메시지입니다.

Resolution

해결 방법:
  1. "system switchover" 명령을 수행하여 두 번째 수퍼바이저로 페일오버합니다. 명령이 완료될 때까지 기다립니다. "show system redundancy status" 명령을 사용하여 작업이 완료되었는지 확인합니다.
  2. 두 번째 "system switchover" 명령을 수행하여 현재 업그레이드 코드가 있는 이전 활성 수퍼바이저로 돌아갑니다. 
  3. "install all" 명령을 다시 실행하면 업그레이드가 완료됩니다.
