NetWorker: How Success Threshold affects Retry Behavior

SUCCESS THRESHOLD
A backup which finishes with a warning message can be defined as a success or failure depending on the Success Threshold setting:
There will be messages like this in the policy action logs for a successful backup which has a warning:
savegrp NSR warning Job 1505486 host: [NetWorker Client] savepoint: /file.grow had WARNING indication(s) at completion
RETRY behavior
A backup which is reported as failed, will retry. The number of times NetWorker retries a failed save set is determined by the value defined in the Retries attribute, which you specify in the Specify the Advanced Options screen of the Policy Action Wizard.
If retries is set to 0, then there will be no retry attempted.
Therefore, for a backup which finishes with a warning:
- Success Threshold set to Success, the backup will retry (unless retries is set to 0).
- Success Threshold set to Warning, the backup will not retry.
There will be messages like this in the policy action logs when a retry is done:

To define the success threshold for a save session, select one the following values in the Specify the Backup Options screen of the Policy Action Wizard:
- Warning—Save sets that complete with warnings are reported as success with warnings.
- Success—Save sets that complete with warnings are reported as failed. This is the default value.

- Success Threshold set to Success, the backup will retry (unless retries is set to 0).
- Success Threshold set to Warning, the backup will not retry.
There will be messages like this in the policy action logs when a retry is done:
