Symptoms
If the System Check detects that KR link to PXE boot option is not enabled on a node, the PowerStore Manager raises the error "KR link PXE boot option is not enabled on node B (KB#000220804)".
It appears in the PowerStore Manager as:
If the test is run using service script, the output is as follows:
[....@ABCDEF-A ~]$ svc_health_check run -rhc kr_link_boot_option_check Name Location Status Description KR link boot option Check node_a Passed KR link boot option Check node_b Failed KR link PXE boot option is not enabled on node B (KB#000220804) SUMMARY Status: Failed Passed: 1 Failed: 1 Total: 2
The result may differ from the above depending on which nodes the test failed.
Cause
The issue may be a result of a software issue encountered during the internal M.2 boot module replacement.
When this issue exists an NDU will not be affected but internal service commands may fail.
Resolution
1) Upgrade to PowerStoreOS 3.5 version or higher.
2) If upgrade cannot be performed, contact technical support for assistance. Reference this KB Article for expedited handling.
Note:
If the "KR link PXE boot option is not enabled" error occurs on an appliance running PowerStoreOS 3.5 or above it is a false positive and can be safely ignored.
