症状

Aמ internal software module in a PowerStore appliance may unexpectedly restart due to a timing issue when the following occur simultaneously:
  • The appliance is using the Metro Volume feature
  • And on a Metro volume a snapshot rule is configured.
The software module should automatically restart and recover.

This issue only affects customers who are using Metro Volume and on a Metro volume there are snapshot rules configured.



原因

This is a timing issue during the snapshot creation and write operations that may lead, under rare circumstances, to an unexpected software module restart.

解决方案

This issue is fixed PowerStoreOS 3.6.x.

Workaround
If assistance is required to verify that the issue encountered is the root cause described in this article, contact Dell Global Support.
If the issue persists, consider removing the snapshots schedule for the affected metro volume.
