    If you have a OneDrive for Business account, ensure that you have permission to access the file or folder that you are trying to add. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator

  2. Take the following steps if you have online access to OneDrive.
    • Check if OneDrive is running
      1. Click the OneDrive icon in the menu bar or check the Activity Monitor by pressing Command + Spacebar.
      2. Click the CPU tab then check OneDrive under Process Column.
    • Restart OneDrive
      1. Click the OneDrive icon in the menu bar.
      2. Click Quit OneDrive.
      3. Open the OneDrive application again using Spotlight.
    • Update OneDrive sync app
      1. Open the Mac App Store then click the Update button in the toolbar.
      2. Check if there is an available update for OneDrive; if yes, then update the app.
        Note: Alternatively, check if there is an Update button in the OneDrive app.
    • Check computer storage
      1. Check the available disk space on your computer and your OneDrive storage. If you there is not enough space, you have to move or delete some files or reduce the number of files and folders.   3. If the abovementioned steps did not work, you may have to reinstall OneDrive. Take the following steps to reinstall OneDrive.
    1. Ensure that your computer is updated.
    2. Click the Launchpad icon in the dock.
    3. Hold down the OneDrive application icon until all icons jiggle.
    4. Click the x icon in the top corner of OneDrive application.
