Installing the system top cover (front)
Prerequisites
CAUTION: Do not operate the system without the system cover. This can result in overheating and cause component damage.
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the safety instructions section.
- Ensure that all internal cables are connected and routed correctly.
NOTE: Closing the system cover with incorrect cable routing can damage the cables.
Steps
- Align the slots of the system top cover with the tabs on the chassis.
- Slide the cover toward the back of the chassis until it locks into place.
- Rotate the system cover lock to the locked
position.

Next steps
- Install the system into the rack.
- Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.
