Removing SD card reader

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover

    2. front bezel

    3. 2.5 inch hard drive assembly

    4. cooling shroud

    5. optical drive

    6. M.2 PCIe SSD

  3. To remove the SD card reader:
    1. Release the power cables from the retention clips on the SD card reader enclosure [1].
    2. Remove the 6 screws that secure the SD card reader [2].
    3. Lift the SD card reader away from the computer [3].Figure displaying removing the SD card
