Procedure

  1. Place the keyboard on the palm-rest assembly.
  2. Align the screw holes on the keyboard with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
  3. Slide the keyboard cable and the keyboard-backlight cable (optional) into the respective connectors and close the latches to secure the cables.
  4. Replace the screws that secure the keyboard to the palm-rest assembly.
  5. Align the screw holes on the keyboard shield with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
  6. Replace the screws that secure the keyboard shield to the palm-rest assembly.
