Removing the LED Board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery

    2. hard drive

    3. bottom cover

    4. ExpressCard

  3. Perform the following steps to remove the LED board:
    1. Disconnect the LED board connector cable by lifting the release tab upwards. [1,2]
    2. Remove the screws that secure the LED board. [3]
    3. Lift and remove the LED board from the computer. [4]
