Removing the Speaker

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery

    2. hard drive

    3. keyboard

    4. bottom cover

    5. docking board

    6. optical drive

    7. memory module

    8. GPU module

    9. heatsink

    10. ExpressCard

    11. GPS module

    12. WLAN card

    13. WWAN card

    14. SIM board

    15. system board

  3. Perform the following steps to remove the speaker:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the speaker module to the computer. [1]
    2. Unroute the speaker cable from its routing channel on the chassis. [2]
    3. Push the speaker module inwards and lift to remove it from the computer. [3]
