Removing the power connector port

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
  3. To remove the power connector port:
    1. Disconnect the power connector port cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Remove the M2x3 screw (1) that secures the power connector port to the laptop [2].
    3. Lift the power connector port away from the laptop [3].
