Adding virtual Ethernet adapters
The Cyber Recovery virtual appliance deployment is configured with one interface by default. Optionally, after the deployment, you can add extra virtual Ethernet adapters.
Prerequisites
The Cyber Recovery virtual appliance is installed to a VMware ESXi host in the Cyber Recovery vault.
Steps
- Access the VMware vSphere Web Client.
- Power off the Cyber Recovery virtual appliance virtual machine (VM).
- Right-click the VM and select Edit Settings.
- Expand the New device drop-down list.
- Select Network and click Add.
- Select the network type from the list and click Finish.
- Power on the VM.
- Log in as admin and run the su command to switch to root.
- Use the YaST tool to configure the second virtual Ethernet adapter.
- Restart the VM so that the changes take effect.
