Acquiring the Terraform template

On request, Dell Technologies provides access to the Terraform template and VM Image that are required to deploy the Cyber Recovery solution.

NOTE:Google Cloud Marketplace at https://console.cloud.google.com/marketplace provides access to other components required to deploy the Cyber Recovery solution.

Terraform template

The Terraform template (main.tf) declares the Google Cloud Platform resources that are required for the deployment. Do not change the name of the template file, otherwise, the deployment fails. The template is a text file that you can edit in any text editor.

Send a request for access to the Cyber Recovery Terraform template to CyberRecoveryCloudRequest@Dell.com and provide the following information:

  • Customer name
  • Sales order number
  • Google Cloud Platform region in which you want to deploy the Cyber Recovery solution.

    This information is required to ensure access to the correct VM image and Terraform template.

  • The email address of either:
    • The service account with the correct roles assigned
    • The user account with the correct roles assigned

VM image

The VM image is a packaged environment that contains the Cyber Recovery configuration and other components that are required to set up an instance.

As part of the deployment, the following VM images are deployed:

  • Cyber Recovery management host (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12)
  • PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition
  • Jump host CIS Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Benchmark - Level 2
