Procedure

1. Close the display and turn the computer over.
2. Using a plastic scribe, remove the screw cap from the base-cover assembly.

3. Remove the nine screws (M2.5x6) that secure the base-cover assembly to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

4. Using your thumb, apply pressure on the base-cover assembly.
5. From the top right corner, pry the base-cover assembly from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

6. Pry loose the base-cover assembly from one end of the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

7. Lift the base-cover assembly, at an angle, from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly and release it from the HDMI port.

8. Carefully turn over the base-cover assembly.

9. Remove the I/O board.
