Inspiron 15 3000 Series Service Manual (with optical drive)

Procedure

1. Remove the screw that secures the optical-drive assembly to the base cover.
2. Using a plastic scribe, push the optical-drive assembly out of the optical-drive bay.
3. Pull the optical-drive assembly out of the optical-drive bay.

4. Carefully pry the optical-drive bezel off the optical drive.
5. Remove the screw that secures the optical-drive bracket to the optical drive.

   NOTE: : Note the orientation of the optical-drive bracket so that you can replace it correctly.
