Inspiron 15 3000 Series Service Manual (with optical drive)

Procedure

1. Open the display as far as possible.
2. Open the latch and disconnect the power-button board cable from the system board.

   2. palm rest

3. Close the display and turn the computer over.
4. Peel the tape that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
5. Remove the screw that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
6. Note the power-button board cable routing and peel it off the palm-rest assembly.
7. Slide and remove the power-button board, along with its cable, from under the tab on the palm-rest assembly..
