Removing the speaker module

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. MicroSD card
    2. SIM card tray

      NOTE: : To remove both cards if equipped and no need to remove the blank filler

    3. Base cover
    4. Battery
    5. Power board
  3. To disconnect the cables:
    1. Disconnect and fold back the smart card cable from the USH board [1].
    2. Disconnect and fold back the LED daughter board FFC from the LED daughter board for easy access in removing the speaker module [2].

  4. To release the speaker module:
    1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Un route the speaker cable from the retention clips and remove the tapes that secure the speaker cable [2].

  5. To remove the speaker module:
    1. Un route the speaker cable by removing the tapes near the palm rest [1].
    2. Lift the speaker module from the computer.

      NOTE: : You can use a plastic scribe to lift the speaker module from the computer.
