Removing the touchpad

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. Base cover
    2. Battery
    3. SSD module
    4. WLAN card
    5. WWAN card
    6. Heat sink assembly
    7. Speaker
    8. Display assembly
    9. System board
    10. Keyboard
  3. Removing the touchpad buttons.
    1. Disconnect the touchpad cable [1].
    2. Remove the tape that secures the touch buttons to the system board [2].
    3. Remove the 2 (M2 x 3) screws that secure the touchpad buttons [3].
    4. Lift the touchpad buttons from the computer [4].
