Removing the system fan

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. WWAN card (optional)
    4. hard drive assembly(optional)
    5. chassis frame
  3. To remove the system fan:
    NOTE This section is for UMA model only.
    1. Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Lift the system fan away from the computer [2].
