Removing the power connector port

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
  3. To remove the power connector port:
    1. Disconnect the power connector port cable from the system board[1] .
    2. Unroute the power connector port cable from the clip on the heat sink.
    3. Remove the screw to release the metal bracket on the power connector port [2].
    4. Lift the metal bracket from the computer [3].
    5. Remove the power connector port from the computer [4].
