OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter Version 4.2 Web Client User's Guide

Creating cluster profile

Prerequisites

  1. System profile, Repository profile for both firmware and drivers, homogeneous server models for the cluster.
  2. vSAN cluster must be present in the vCenter.
  3. Connection profile must be created for at least one host in vSAN cluster and inventory should be run successfully.
NOTE If multiple standalone vCenters are registered to OMIVV, it is recommended to create distinct Cluster profiles for each vCenter.
NOTE At creation of the cluster profile, a current snapshot of the associated Firmware and Driver Repository is created for the baseline. If the repositories change, the cluster profile would need to be updated again to reflect the changes. Otherwise, any updates performed on the repositories will not be updated to original cluster profile snapshot.

    2. Click Browse to associate the required vSAN clusters.

The Summary page is displayed that provides the information about the cluster profile.
