Removing the speaker

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
  3. Open the front bezel door.
  4. To remove the speaker:
    1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Close the front bezel door.
    3. Press the release tabs [2], and slide the speaker [3] and the speaker cable [4] out of the slot.
