Removing the Optical Disk Drive

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the left-side cover.

Steps

  1. Lay the computer on the right side.
  2. Disconnect the data and power cables from the ODD.
  3. Push the securing tab to release the ODD from the chassis.
  4. Slide and remove the ODD from the ODD slot.
