Drive status LED indicators

Drive status LED indicatorsCondition
OFF Indicates that the storage sled is not mapped to any compute sled, or that all compute sleds to which it is mapped are powered off. The storage sled is safe to remove in this case.
Solid greenIndicates that the storage sled is mapped to one or more compute sleds and that any of the mapped compute sleds is powered on.
Blinking greenIndicates that the storage sled is mapped to a compute sled and there is activity on any of the internal drives of the storage sled.
Blinking amberIndicates that a drive within the storage sled has been marked as failed by the disk controller on a mapped compute sled.

Drive status LED indicatorThe drive status LED indicator table describes the indicators: Bicolor Green/Amber Status LED’s are controlled by the SAS SGPIO expanders that are on each Expander module and driven by the Drive online LED (green element) and Drive Fault LED (amber element) control signals.
