Troubleshooting blower modules
Prerequisites
CAUTION:The
blower modules are hot swappable. Remove and replace only one blower
module at a time in a system that is turned on. Operating the system
without all four blower modules for extended periods of time can cause
the system to overheat.
Steps
- Locate the faulty blower module using the back panel blower module indicators.
- Remove the blower module.
- Examine the server modules for debris. If debris is present, carefully remove it.
- Reseat the faulty blower module.
- If the problem is not resolved, install a new blower module.
- If the new blower module does not operate, see Getting Help.
