Removing the Internal Antenna

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. Side cover

    2. Front bezel

    3. Hard drive and optical drive module

  3. To remove the antenna from the system:
    1. Unroute the antenna cable from the cable hole on the chassis [1].
    2. Unroute the antenna cable from the two hooks on the chassis [2].Internal Antenna
    3. Remove the single screw that secures the antenna to the chassis [1].
    4. Remove the black antenna cable from the ANT-B slot on the chassis [2,3].Internal Antenna
    5. Remove the single screw that secures the antenna to the chassis [1].
    6. Remove the white antenna cable from the ANT-W slot on the chassis [2,3].Internal Antenna
