Removing the LED board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery cover

    2. battery

    3. base cover

    4. hard drive

    5. keyboard

    6. secondary memory

    7. palmrest

  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Lift the tab and disconnect the LED-board cable from the system board [1, 2].
    2. Remove the screw that secures the LED board to the computer and remove it from the computer [3,4].
