Installation Requirements

The following table provides the installation requirements for the Dell Storage Management Pack Version 4.1.

Requirement Description
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager The server must meet all SCOM requirements and must be one of the following supported versions:
  • SCOM 2022
  • SCOM 2019
  • SCOM 2016
TLS 1.2 Protocol To use Dell Storage Manager 2018 and later, follow the prerequisites described in the article TLS 1.2 Protocol Support Deployment Guide for System Center 2012 R2.
Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) The following versions of SCVMM are supported:
  • SCVMM 2022
  • SCVMM 2019
  • SCVMM 2016
Dell Storage Manager
  • Dell Dell Storage Manager 2020 R1
  • Dell Dell Storage Manager 2019 R1
  • Dell Dell Storage Manager 2018 R1
  • Dell Dell Storage Manager 2016 R1
Storage Center Operating System The Storage Center Operating System version depends on the version supported by Dell Storage Manager.
Dell Storage Systems The following storage systems are supported:
  • SC9000
  • SC7020F
  • SC7020
  • SC5020F
  • SC5020
  • SCv3000 Series
  • SCv2000 Series
NOTE:The End of Standard Support for SC8000 storage systems occurred on March 31, 2021. The End of Standard Support for SC4020 storage systems occurred on August 31, 2023.
Operating System The following Windows Server operating systems are supported:
  • Windows Server 2022
  • Windows Server 2019
  • Windows Server 2016
Microsoft .NET Framework Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later
Processor x64
Memory See the System Center documentation website for the latest memory requirements.
Network Connection
  • Gigabit Ethernet is highly recommended
  • Visibility to each monitored Storage Center
TCP Port By default, port 3033 is used for communication between the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Provider and the Storage Manager Data Collector.
Server Must be monitored by SCOM and have a monitoring agent installed.
