Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) Metadata Configuration

To configure the ADFS, do the following:

  1. Provide EDM details to ADFS. Hover the mouse over the information (i) icon to view the screenshot of Add Relying Party Trust Wizard. It shows you where to place the EDM xml files to ADFS server. Click the link provided on the page to download the EDM xml file on your thin client.
  2. Use EDM rules in ADFS. To view the EDM rules, click the link provided on the page. You can also download the EDM rules by clicking the link provided on the EDM Rules window. Hover the mouse over the information (i) icon to view the screenshot of Add Transform Claim Rule Wizard. It shows you where to place the EDM Rules to ADFS server.
  3. Allow tenants to enter ADFS configuration by uploading ADFS meta-data file. Click Add Configuration to configure the ADFS details.
    1. Follow the instructions specified on the page.
    2. Click Load XML file to upload the XML file stored on your local repository (thin client).
    3. Provide details of Entity ID and X.509 Signing Certificate in the respective boxes.
    4. Enter ADFS login URL address and ADFS logout URL address in the respective boxes.
    5. Select the check box to enable SSO login using ADFS. This feature gives tenants the ability to configure SSO (Single Sign On) using Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS) which follows Security Assertion and Markup Language (SAML) standard specification.
    6. Click Test ADFS Login to validate the configuration information entered by allowing tenants to test their setup before saving.
  4. Tenants have the ability to activate/deactivate SSO login using ADFS.
  5. Click Save to save the settings.
  6. After you save the metadata file, you can update the configuration by clicking Update Configuration.
In the upper-right corner of the page, click the link to access the Single Sign On with ADFS user guide .
  • NOTE: Tenants have the ability to login/logout using their AD credentials configured from their ADFS. You have to make sure that the AD users are imported to EDM server. On the login page, click on Sign in with your domain credentials. You need to provide the email address of your AD user and sign in.
