Procedure

  • NOTE: To avoid any potential damage to the cables, ensure to release them from the routing guides.
  1. Using the pull tab, disconnect the display cable from the system board.
  2. Disconnect the camera cable from the system board.
  3. Disconnect the touch cable (applicable only for systems with the touch screen option) from the system board.
  4. Using the pull tab, disconnect the media-card reader cable from the system board.
  5. Disconnect the hard-drive power cable from the system board.
  6. Disconnect the hard-drive data cables from the system board. Image: Removing the system board
  7. Disconnect the microphone cable from the system board.
  8. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
  9. Disconnect the converter-board cable from the system board.
  10. Using the pull tab, disconnect the media-card reader cable from the system board.
  11. Disconnect the audio cable from the system board.
  12. Remove the screw (M3X4) that secures the media-card reader cable and audio cable to the system board. Image: Removing the system board
  13. Remove the 12 screws (M3X4) that secure the system board to the middle frame.
  14. Lift the system board off the middle frame.Image: Removing the system board
