Inventory Failure on Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2008 Operating System

If you login to a system running Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2008 operating system, you are logged in as a regular user even though you have Administrator rights.
  • NOTE: An in-built feature called User Account Control (UAC) automatically reduces the potential of security breaches for a system running Windows operating system.
  • NOTE: Before you run SUU or DUPs on the system, change the security options in Group Policy Editor.
To change the security options:
  1. Click Start Run and then type gpedit.esc or gpmc.msc. The Group Policy Editor window is displayed.
  2. Browse to Security Options. The Policy window is displayed
  3. Navigate to User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode .
  4. Right-click and select Elevate without prompt.
