Adding multiple NIS servers ensures continued
authentication of clients in the event of a resource outage. If the
FluidFS cluster cannot establish contact with a server, it attempts
to connect to the remaining servers.

Steps
- In the
NIS Domain Name field, type an NIS domain name.
- In the
NIS Servers area,
define one or more NIS servers.
- To define an NIS server, type the server host name
or IP address in the field, then click
Add.
- To remove an NIS server, select the server, then click
Remove.
- To increase or decrease the order of preference for
an NIS server, select the server, then click
Up or
Down.
- Click
Next.
