How to replace the Power adapter port on a Dell 15 DC15250

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Power adapter port and a Dell 15 DC15250. The procedure will also include removing the Base Cover, Battery Cable and reinstalling them.
Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws on the base cover.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover near the hinges to release it from the system.
Remove the base cover by loosening the sides and front.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Using the pull tab, disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Power adapter port
Identify the power adapter port highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the right display hinge to the system.
Lift to open the right display hinge.
Disconnect the power adapter port cable from the system board.
Unroute the cable and lift the power adapter port from the system.
Install
Power adapter port
Identify the power adapter port location highlighted in blue.
Install the power adapter port into the slot. Route the cable under the board.
Connect the power adapter port cable to the system board.
Close the right display hinge and align the screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the right display hinge to the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Install the base cover and press the edges and sides until it snaps into place.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover.
