How to replace the Display Assembly on a Dell 15 DC15250

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Display Assembly and a Dell 15 DC15250. The procedure will also include removing the Base Cover, Battery Cable, WLAN and reinstalling them.
Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws on the base cover.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover near the hinges to release it from the system.
Remove the base cover by loosening the sides and front.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Using the pull tab, disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Wireless Module (WLAN)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the bracket and wireless module to the system.
Remove the bracket to access the WLAN cables.
Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless module (WLAN).
Slide and remove the wireless module out of the slot on the system board.
Display Assembly
Identify the display assembly highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the hinges to the system board.
Lift to open the display hinges.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
Lift the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
Unroute the speaker cables from the palm rest.
Unroute the WLAN cables from the palm rest.
Slide the palm rest assembly carefully off the display assembly.
Install
Display Assembly
Place the display assembly on a clean and flat surface.
Identify the display assembly location highlighted in blue.
Align and slide the palm rest assembly under the display hinges.
Close the hinges and align the screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the hinges to the system board.
Route the wireless module (WLAN) cable through the routing channels on the palm rest assembly.
Route the speaker cable through the routing channels on the palm rest assembly.
Connect the display cable to the system board. Close the latch to secure.
Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
Wireless Module (WLAN)
Identify the wireless module location (WLAN) highlighted in blue.
Install the WLAN into the connector on the system board.
Connect the black cable to the auxiliary (black triangle).
Connect the white cable to the main (white triangle).
Align the screw hole on the bracket with the screw hole on the wireless module.
Install the screw that secures the bracket and wireless module to the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Install the base cover and press the edges and sides until it snaps into place.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover.
