Hello praSAN,

thanks for joining the community. We definitely want non-EMC people to collaborate with us, and a non-US world view on the topics here (and any topic you would like to initiate) is also very welcome. Are there other IBM people who would be interested in storage management, career growth, or can share their insight into the information industry? Let them know we are here.

stop by often!

Hello Sugandhi,

Welcome to the community. SAN virtulization is a pretty big deal for EMC. The education group and Global Services as a whole is promoting the VMware side of virtulization. Is that what you are working on? We are promoting the education around virtulization as well, beginning this quarter. I think it is a topic that will gain traction within core EMC.

I am intrigued by your radio interests. Is this done live, or is it recorded? My only forray into audio production is with Garage Band, making short topics in a radio-style as if on air, but editable and then output to a podcast for download. (Not very professional at this point but it is a lot of fun). Do you make recordings with pc/Mac tools?

Again, thanks for joining, and please feel free to start a discussion, add a comment etc. Invite your colleagues in Bangalore!

Hi praSAN, this forum is for everyone so we're so happy you've joined us!

You've earned 9 EMC Proven Professional certifications?  That's outstanding; can you share some of the ways that these certifications have helped you on your job?

Hello Chris,

I work for Invista. I did come across virtualization being promoted in the set included for the Information Storage and Management certification. I am also eager to see this domain gaining traction.

Regarding my interest in radio - it is mostly recorded (although there are live programmes that get aired, I haven't taken part in any). And my participation has been only for the national radio, which is called All India Radio (or AIR, for short). They don't have podcasts, yet,

Regards
Sugandhi

Hi All,

Mallesh Goud Gurram, that's my full name. I am Fine Arts graduate by qualification and currently working as an Information Architect for EMC Education Services in Franklin, MA. I have played different roles and I’ve been worldwide traveler in my past career, right from graphics designer to Information Architect and UI designer to Design Team Lead and Human Factors Engineer.

I was very passionate to study Fine Arts right from my schooling days. I was lucky enough to secure 7th rank in the first attempt in 1987 for Fine Arts entrance examination. I graduated from JNTU college of Fine Arts, Hyderabad-India, specializing in Applied Arts. I enjoyed studying the creative world of design, painting and other creative disciplines which aligned me to expand my horizons.

I did my training as a trainee visualizer and enjoyed the wonderful transition phase of the traditional advertising transforming into graphic design with the help of digital media. I learnt working on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and QuarkXPress from the realistic environment of the Agency work.

After my graduation, I went to Dubai and worked about 8 years as a design consultant for their UI/AI, branding and advertising. I worked for many ad agencies as a freelancer and learnt so many creative possibilities and evolved in the international business world.

After the project in Dubai, I went to Melbourne-Australia where I lived 2 years and shifted my focus on the web design and worked as a UI designer and enjoyed the creative freedom to experiment and succeeded in delivering a tremendous output which proved my creative capabilities. After I came to USA in 2005, working as a Sr.UI/Visual designer worked for some of the fortune 500 clients for their internal and external projects.

Hello Mallesh,

thanks for joining the EMC Proven community. As a member of the EMC team that develops the curriculum and creates the look and feel of our education web sites, it is nice to see such a rich background in visual design. It helps the technical people find what they need quickly.

For the others.....if you have comments for Mallesh on our Web site (http://education.emc.com) let us know.

Hello Michael,

thanks for joining us here at the Proven Professional community site. Please feel free to ask questions about our program, curriculum content, or personal experiences as a CLARiiON implementation engineer.

Year ago I spent 2 weeks in New Zealand, a transit stop on my way to Australia with my parents (I was in grade school...). It was a great time. I also enjoy CW music, Garth Brooks in particular....

Come back often!
