Solution

Getting the black screen for a sec is an expected behavior of Microsoft Multiplane Overlay (MPO) feature with Intel Comet Lake CPU.

Note: MPO feature is a power conservation feature to enhance battery life. Intel recommends end user to enable this feature.

MPO feature can be disabled by editing registry table as follow steps:

1. Search DisplayFeatureControl in Registry Editor

2. Modify the value from 3e3 to 383.

3. Reboot
